About Us

Established in 1992 by Dr Geraldine Kaye, herself a highly respected actuary, GAAPS International has grown to be one of the largest actuarial recruitment consultancies in the world, and with staff who have decades of collective experience.

The company was founded to satisfy the need for an efficient, discreet and cost-effective executive search service that could cater for the unique needs of the actuarial profession. Our consultants' qualifications and expertise cover a wide range of areas, including actuarial, accountancy, law, psychology and education. Senior members of the company play significant roles in actuarial associations around the world, as well as in other professional bodies.

GAAPS also conducts surveys detailing salary trends across the industry, maintaining close contact with thousands of actuaries. GAAPS are accredited to ISO 9002 and with offices throughout the UK, Europe, Southern Africa and Asia Pacific, GAAPS resources stretch across the globe. We have achieved this success through knowledge of the marketplace and by taking the time to understand the requirements of all concerned.

As the scope of the actuary has gradually broadened to encompass other markets, so GAAPS has broadened its horizons.

The wide range of contacts and experience gathered over the years, dealing at the highest levels of the industry, has led to the company branching out from purely actuarial into the wider financial market, with particular emphasis on graduate recruitment, where we have already enjoyed so much success.

GAAPS International adheres to strict rules of conduct, both on a corporate and an individual level.

We are members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), the Association of Search and Selection Consultants (ASSC) and the Executive Research Association (ERA). Our South African subsidiary is a member of the Association of Personnel Service Organisations (APSO).
