Information For Graduates
Psychometrics involves the use of questions covering
a range of categories to gauge, among other things,
aspects of a person's personality that might not be
attained in conventional ways. The tests are used
by human resource departments and recruitment consultancies,
including GAAPS, if appropriate, to help assess candidates.
The tests cover a range of areas, gauging things like
integrity, honesty and team performance. You may be
asked to take part in an assessment, as part of an
application process, if so, do not be concerned. There
is no pass or fail aspect to them and your University's
Careers Service will have examples of these tests.
If you are unsure about a question on a paper, it
is always best to be positive.
